Location
Elgin

Recipient
Clan Cancer

Funding Awarded
£25,000.00

Clan Cancer received funding towards a five-seater hybrid vehicle to support its key services for Moray residents affected by cancer.

Operating from Clan Cancer’s Elgin centre, the vehicle will used to provide a transport service for cancer patients attending appointments at Elgin, Aberdeen and Inverness hospitals.

It will also provide an outreach service that allows children and teenagers impacted by a diagnosis to be supported in their school or home, or at a venue close by.

The vehicle is expected to support approximately 35 people affected by cancer each year, providing up to 70 journeys for those needing treatment, and up to 240 outreach sessions for 28 families, while bringing about a reduction emissions of 4.1 tonnes per annum.

Additional funding for the minibus came from The Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation and The Adam Family Foundation.
