Discover Moray’s Great Places

Moray Council, on behalf of the Moray Economic Partnership and its theme group Tourism and Culture, were awarded funding for a project exploring how Moray’s rich cultural, built and natural heritage could be further enhanced to maximise community engagement, attract new audiences, participants and visitors through working closely with Moray’s Creative Scotland Place partnership.

It focused on the Coastal and Country areas of Moray and build on the success of the recently Heritage Lottery Fund supported Castle to Cathedral to Cashmere Heritage Experience (involving 17 organisations and their volunteers) and the Findhorn Bay Arts Creative Place Award and Ignite project (involving over 20 partners & youth services). 

The vision is to further enhance Moray as a visitor destination using Heritage and Culture, which will result in increased economic, environmental and social benefits for our communities.
