Moray Wellbeing Hub were awarded funding to deliver their Wellbeing Connected Moray project.
The funding allowed Moray Wellbeing hub to develop a new locality model designed to improve the lives of people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage in Moray.
The underpinning principles of Wellbeing Connected Moray were to build sustainability for individuals and communities, using a bottom-up approaches to health and wellbeing through building connection, hope, identity, meaning and empowerment in people’s lives.
The project focused upon rural service delivery (not Elgin focused): reducing travel and encouraging use of community buildings and local people. Project activities will take place in four Moray locality areas as a focus for local collaboration and partnership: Cullen & Buckie, Elgin and Lossiemouth, Forres and Kinloss, and Speyside.
The funding allowed Moray Wellbeing Hub to support the deliver of activities including outreach, creative events, training, and peer-support sessions. These activities not only supported people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage, but also connected other agencies and a range of age groups, including young people.
